Petititon against cull of Kimbery Wild Horses
The West Australian Dept of Lands has ordered Pastoral Lease Holders at Lake Gregory to remove all wild horses be early July. The Department estimates there are about 5000 horses and it is planned to trap them and truck them to an abattoir in Petersborough, South Australia for slaughter for the export meat market. ABA believes this is yet another example of the negligence of governments in providing effective long term and humane management of over abundant species.
