Brumbies again under the gun

A cull of wild horses and camels has commenced in the Carnarvon Gorge National Park in Queensland.  While this is part of an ongoing program to reduce numbers of animals, ABA is against the continued use of aerial shooting and is lobbying all governments to put resources into alternative and non-lethal control of wild horses.

WA Govt says aerial culling necessary - Feb 2010

The West Australian Horse Council objects to aerial shooting of wild horses.  One of our Member groups, the Outback Heritage Horse Association of WA is monitoring the situation and working with key people in regard to this matter.
